Slow mornings, freshly ground beans, and food made with the same care as the coffee. The Hearthside is a place to linger a while.
Opening hours
The Hearthside opened its doors ten years ago in a converted 1920s terrace on King Street. The exposed sandstone walls and original timber floors were already there — we just listened to what the space wanted to be.
We source all our beans from a single family farm in the highlands of Papua New Guinea, roasted weekly by a small co-operative in Marrickville. Every coffee you drink here has a name attached to it.
Food is cooked in-house from scratch each morning. The menu changes with what's good and seasonal — but the brown butter banana bread never leaves.
